Exploring nature isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Taking a nature walk with kids can be exhausting, trying your patience and sometimes a complete disaster, even without rain!

But every now and again they will stop together, and admire the view.

Nature walks are a great way to get out of the house, challenge your child’s endurance and strength and balance.

Nature Walk Tips:
  1. Keep their minds engaged. Get them to try and spot different things, count how many different flowers they can find. We spotted how many hats were below us, and it kept them entertained for 15 minutes!

  2. Challenge their body early in the walk. We balanced over the snake path, jumped over all the cracks in the path and even tried jumping backwards. It stopped them running away too fast and set a slower pace for their younger brother.
